A wise man once told me the editor’s most powerful tool is the cut.  While I believe that’s true, you can’t forget slipping, rolling, trimming and so on.  As a lifelong drummer, I pride myself on being able to cut footage to the beat.  I do most of my editing on a Final Cut Studio-based system.  I am also trained on an AVID.  Here is an example of a recent short film I edited for the March 2010 DVXuser film contest.
