Yes, I am now the proud owner of a Sony FS-100. This brings an end to an era for me: No more tape-based video cameras in my workflow. And I must say, it feels pretty good.

This is work…This is a test….

I am still working on getting the .mts files into both Final Cut Pro and Premiere to see which I like best. But when I have everything fleshed out….you can guarantee that my son and I are going to use this camera to it’s fullest potential: Creating the ultimate Star Wars action figure fan film!

Shooting BTS for Splash of Pink

Just dropping in real quick with an update for June, 2011. I just finished up day one of shooting for Splash of Pink in Westport. This is behind the scenes footage for their Fall 2011 catalog. As usual, having a great time using the Zazaslider for some great camera moves. A fantastic client and wonderful models to work with.

That’s right, they are opening up a new shop in Fairfield. So get ready, Connecticut’s best pancakes will now be available in two locations. This new spot features the voice over talents of Phil Schaefer and some original, funky music from Valencia’s own Damian Sanchez.

It’s short and sweet. I like how it came out and we may do a few more. Kinda like South of the Border billboards. The animations were done in Adobe After Effects.

This is my first High Definition spot running on WFSB. It was a pleasure working with the client!

The Zaza Slider and pizza…perfect together.

The Zaza Slider made the food shots look even better and was great to work with. I’m really happy with the footage and I will post this TV spot here when it’s done. Thanks to Paul David Anthony who assisted me and took some great behind the scene footage with his Nikon D7000.

First off, we just finished and released the debut music video from Deena Hasting’s upcoming album, “Because of You”. You can see the video here and on YouTube. I would like to compliment director of photography Dan Wills who shot the video and did a great job. I edited the final product and did some After Effects work in post production. We hope to start work on a second video when the weather gets a little better.

I also shot footage at last week’s fourth annual Greenwich In-Water Boat Show.

The event was a great success and it was nice to be out on Long Island Sound riding in some twin hull boats, even if it was a bit windy. Check out the day in review video to see what kind of boats and luxury yachts were on site.
